MailChimp is a nice, free, option for most website owners who want to collect email addresses from their visitors.
It’s popular because it is relatively easy to use, integrates with a lot of other services, it lets you brand your emails, it’s trusted (meaning your emails will get to your subscribers’ inboxes), it offers easy-to-understand reports and it’s FREE for lists up to 2,000.
