If you are using the GeneratePress Theme and have uploaded the Add-Ons plugin and activated all of the options, the Layout option is the third section you’ll see when you click on the Customize link from a page or post.
The Footer sub-option is the fifth in the list of this section.
The ‘Footer’ section lets you adjust the Footer Width, Footer Widgets and the Back to Top Button.
This setting will set the width of the footer of your website.
The options include Full or Contained
If you choose ‘Full’ the Footer will stretch to the full width of your website.
If you choose ‘Contained’ the Footer will be in a box with the setting choices you make in the other Customize menus.
This setting will designate the number of Footer Widgets you would like to appear in the Footer.
The options are 0 to 5.
Back to Top Button
This setting will turn off/on the boxed arrow that appears in the lower right-hand corner of the website which will allow people to quickly return to the tops of the website from wherever they are on the site.
The options are Enable or Disable.
Once you are done making your changes, click on the Save & Publish button at the top of the Customizing sidebar.
If you change any of these options while you are in the Customize mode you will be able to see how the change affects the look of your website.
Congratulations! You just set the Layout Footer options for your website using the Customizing feature in WordPress.
