What is the “Uptime Robot Scan”?
Uptime Robot is a free service created by designers and developers in January 2010 that monitors websites to see if they are working correctly and are visible to the public.
It does this by asking for your website headers and gets status codes like “200-ok”, “404-not found”, etc. every 5 minutes.
If the status code doesn’t indicate a problem, everything is working.
If the status code is ~400+ and 500+, then the site is not loading properly.
In order to make sure the site is down, Uptime Robot makes several more checks in the next 30 seconds,
If the site is still down, it sends an alert to the contact person so they can take action to get the website back up as quickly as possible.
What is the “Daily Wordfence Scan”?
A Wordfence scan examines all files on your WordPress website looking for malicious code, backdoors, shells that hackers have installed, known malicious URLs and known patterns of infections.
It also examines all your posts, pages and comments looking for malicious code and URLs.
It performs several other checks like checking if your IP address is being used for malicious activity and checking for any unauthorized DNS changes.
If Wordfence finds problems, it will send an alert to the contact person so they can take action to fix the issue so that your website is secure.
What happens when I place my order?
When you click the “Pay Now and Complete Order” button on the payment options page, the amount you chose will be immediately charged to your credit card. The system will also send an email confirmation of your order.
How frequently is my credit card charged?
Your credit card will be automatically charged the same amount on the same date each month, quarter, or year (depending on the option you choose). You can cancel the service before that date and stop any future automatic payments.
Will I receive notifications of the payments?
Yes. The system will send you an email confirmation for each payment.
What if I want to change the credit card number?
All of the payment emails include a link to your client page where you can update your credit card information.
You can also send an email to support@alishamcfarland.com to request a client page link.
How do I cancel the service?
You can cancel anytime by going to your client page and clicking on the Cancel button.
To access your client page, click on the link in the payment confirmation email.
If you have trouble, or can’t find the link to your client page, you can also send a request to support@alishamcfarland.com.
What happens when I cancel?
I will not issue a refund upon cancellation. However, your service will continue until the scheduled renewal date.
